At least nine people were injuredPolice said there was no apparent motive outside a Philadelphia bar on Saturday night.
The Philadelphia Police Department said several suspects jumped out of a vehicle and opened fire outside a bar in the Kensington neighborhood of Philadelphia. According to CBS Philadelphia, more than 40 shots were fired.
“These individuals may have seen someone they wanted to shoot at, got out of the vehicle and opened fire on the group,” First Deputy Commissioner John Stanford said.
The nine victims admitted to the hospital are between 23 and 40, police said. The condition of four is stated to be critical.
No arrests were made immediately. Investigators were still searching for suspects.
There was still no word on a motive.
“At this point in time, it looks like these individuals may have seen someone they wanted to shoot at, got out of the vehicle and started firing on a group of people who were there. We don’t have much more to do. motive,” Stanford said.
