The hip-hop community is mourning, The 28-year-old, whose real name is Kirshnik Khari Ball, was killed Tuesday morning in Houston, Texas, officials confirmed.
According to Houston police, no suspects have been arrested in the murder outside a bowling alley after a private party. Investigators are urging any witnesses to come forward with information.
Takeoff was a member of the popular rap trio Migos. Tributes are being paid on social media after his death.
