Celebrities react to rapper Takeoff’s shooting death: Keke Palmer, LeCre, Teyana Taylor and more

The hip-hop community is mourning Rapper Takeoff shot dead, The 28-year-old, whose real name is Kirshnik Khari Ball, was killed Tuesday morning in Houston, Texas, officials confirmed.

According to Houston police, no suspects have been arrested in the murder outside a bowling alley after a private party. Investigators are urging any witnesses to come forward with information.

Takeoff was a member of the popular rap trio Migos. Tributes are being paid on social media after his death.

Actress and TV personality Keke Palmer wrote on Instagram, “It’s all sad and I’m so sorry for his entire family and everything he touched. Really awful.”

Christian rapper and writer Lecre shared Twitter: “No hot takes. No deep thoughts. Just sad that another rapper, son, brother and friend has been killed. God be with all those who feel the loss.”

Sports journalist Jemele Hill tweeted, “I was in college when Biggie and ‘Pac were killed and thought there was no way we could experience anything close to him again. Now it’s happening so often that You barely have time to recover before anyone. And killed. RIP takeoff.”

Musician and actress Teyana Taylor shared a picture of the late rapper with her Instagram followers with the caption, “Please tell me it’s just a nightmare, please I don’t want to believe this little brother.”

Actress and singer, Chole Bailey tweeted, “Rip takeoff. My heart is broken”.

Social media star and professional boxer Jake Paul shares his feelings TwitterAs well as encouraging the youth to “put down the guns and pick up some boxing gloves to settle their differences”.
