Country singer Jake Flint died unexpectedly just hours after their wedding, both his wife and manager said on social media.

“It is with a broken heart and deep sadness that I must announce that Jake Flint has tragically passed away,” Flint’s manager Brenda Cline wrote on Facebook.

Kline called Flint “the funniest, most hilarious, hardest-working, dedicated performer I’ve worked with in my career,” adding, “It’s been incredibly difficult for so many people.” Will happen. We love you Jake and forever in our hearts.”

Flint’s wife, Brenda, wrote in her own Facebook post, “We should have looked at the wedding photos but instead I have to choose clothes to bury my husband in.”

“People are not designed to feel that much pain,” she said. “My heart is gone and I really need her back. I can’t take any more. I need her here.”

Flint was raised in Oklahoma by a “wildcat oilman and a hardworking mother of two” and according to his website, he loved music from an early age. Some of their songs included “What’s Your Name?,” “Hurry Up and Wait,” and “Cowtown.” His debut studio album was released in 2016.

The cause of death was not announced.
