A Twitter account from Brockton Public Schools, the district that oversees Quinn’s school, thanked her for pointing out.

“Mackenzie was so honored and surprised to receive this gift from you. We appreciate you and the Patriots for your support!” read the tweet.

After walking into the end zone of his history-making, he told Boston 25 that he had always considered himself “gritty” and “down in the dirt playing like a farm worker”.
