Tree-trimmer dies in horrific wood-cutting incident

A tree-cutting worker in Menlo Park died on Tuesday in a lumbering incident. CBS News Bay Area report,
The video showed police and fire brigade personnel gathered around a piece of wood with a yellow tarp covering a portion of the machine.
Menlo Park Police said officers responding to a report of a tree-trimmer who had fallen into a piece of wood found one person dead from injuries sustained in the incident.
The Menlo Park Fire Protection District and the San Mateo County Coroner’s Office also responded.
The Cal/OSHA Division of Occupational Safety and Health is investigating the death. Officials said that the company doing the trimming of the tree is SP McLennahan.
Cal/OSHA has up to six months to determine if there was a safety issue at the work site and to issue a quote.
The identity of the worker has not been released.
Menlo Park is about 25 miles south of San Francisco.
