Richard Reeves Brody was born on November 10, 1959, in Massachusetts (United States). Throughout his life, Brody has not only been a computer programmer, but he has also excelled as a player poker professional and as a writer.

Brody would leave Microsoft after the company went public in 1986. However, this would not be the end of his career with the company, as he returned in 1991 as head of software designer and Lead Developer of the Omega Projectthe result of which will be later Microsoft Access (1992), In the end, he left Microsoft for good in 1994.
